i traded a salary for a sunrise and a to-do list.
i'm adam. i traded a chemical engineering career, about five years in regulatory and five in manufacturing and process work, for a slower, cheaper, more self-reliant life. these days i live in an old travel trailer on an 11 acre farm in texas and trade my work for the spot, the power, and the water. i still pick up the occasional consulting job from the trailer.
etherstead is the honest field notes: the garden, the builds, the move stories, the real tradeoffs, and the parts that go wrong.
the name is half the idea. ether is the old fifth element, the invisible thing that holds everything together. stead is home, a foundation. building something from almost nothing.
